Unfortunately, what happened outside the prize places was a complete nightmare. A lot of people asked me to give feedback, saying what was wrong with my work. I didn’t see everything: only 10 out of 200 reached me, the works of those who wrote without grammatical errors, did not fall into inappropriate game, did not overfill the material with “ridiculous jokes” and correctly..
Yes, not everything went smoothly with the technical specifications. The line “… motivates to buy Gigabyte!” – this is trash that I missed due to personal oversight. However, for the rest, there were people who did everything right, there were people who PMed me for clarification. I don’t think the wording was a real problem for those who really wanted to enter the competition.
The level of work in general is monstrously low. Of the 10 best that reached me, about half are still very bad: inability to use the language, some kind of crazy hellish layout with constant sidebars, or, God forgive me, an attempt at explanation using the example of ketchup and mayonnaise. I can say for sure that we will not hold competitions in this format a second time.
I repeat, this does not apply to the winners, thank God.
But now we have summed up the results and… Everyone interested saw what unfolded in the comments to the announcement of the winners. Firstly, it was in vain that we used paragraphs about light bulbs as an example of work, and secondly, I never tire of admiring how “hardware” is a rotten and toxic topic.
From the outside it seems that she raises purely technical questions. Well, you have GDDR 5 and GDDR 3, well, that’s all, why argue?? Here the game gives 30 fps, here 50, still strict and understandable? Damn, every discussion I’ve seen devolves into theological debates and "untapped potential" debates. And absolutely always, for absolutely every piece of hardware there is a person who says that it is for suckers and there is a normal option for normal guys. Despite all this, discussions are rarely respectful, constructive and polite.
